How to Order: Your 2-Step Configuration Guide
Step 1: Choose Your Posts (Based on Location)
Your posts do the heavy lifting and dictate the direction of your railing. Walk your space and select the correct post type for each position:
-
Post Type Where It Goes What It Does
-
End Post - The very beginning or end of a railing run. Features pre-cut receiver holes on one side only to cleanly terminate your rail run.
-
Line Post - Spaced evenly along straight, continuous runs. Features pre-cut pass-through holes to let your horizontal rails slide straight through.
-
Corner Post - At any 90-degree turn or corner. Features pre-cut receiver holes on two adjacent sides to seamlessly turn the corner.
-
Stair Post - At the top, middle, or bottom of a staircase. Engineered with angled pass-through holes to accommodate standard stair pitches.
Pro Tip: All of our posts feature our innovative Hidden Base design. They slip directly over a structural heavy-duty base plate, leaving you with a rock-solid post and zero visible bottom plates or messy bolts.
Step 2: Add Your 8' Rail Packs
Once you know where your posts are going, measure the distance between them to calculate your rail packs:
-
Standard 8-Foot Spans: We ship our premium horizontal tube rails in pre-packaged 8-foot lengths.
-
Easy on-site trimming: If your post-to-post distance is less than 8 feet (for example, 6.5 feet), simply buy the standard 8' pack and cut the rails down to your exact size using a basic metal-cutting blade on a standard miter saw, chop saw or hacksaw.
Tools Required? Just the Basics.
You don’t need a fabrication shop to get a professional result. To install our system, you only need:
-
A standard drill/impact driver (to secure the hidden U-bases to your wood deck or concrete).
-
A tape measure and a level.
-
A common miter saw or hacksaw (only if you need to trim down the 8' rail packs).
